The electrolysis

Water to the valuable resources hydrogen and oxygen

How does electrolysis work?

Hydrogen (H2) is required as an energy source for the production of green methanol. In order to obtain hydrogen independently, a redox reaction is brought about in electrolysis with the help of electric current, which splits water into the individual chemical elements; hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2).

Electrolysis is carried out on site directly at the methanol synthesis plant.
